For readers that are trying to become the most successful versions of themselves, Amazon has released a new version of the company’s “100 Books to Read in a Lifetime Series“. The new list is all about Leadership and Success, and topping the charts at number-one is the new project from Sophia Amoruso called “#Girlboss”.

The book has become increasingly popular since its big debut, Netflix has partnered with Kay Cannon and Charlize Theron to turn the autobiography into a comedy series. Fans will remember Cannon from her enormously popular “Pitch Perfect” franchise, she will serve as showrunner and Executive Producer on the new series. Read more


Lawrence University men’s basketball star Jamie Nikitas has been named to the All-Midwest Conference first team in a vote of league coaches.

Nikitas (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) earned the honor after a record-breaking season with the Vikings. Nikitas was second in the league and ninth in all of NCAA Division III in scoring at 25.1 points per game. Read more

Breaking Bread in Greece

It’s an image as timeless as it is unchangeable   whether it’s a lavish Christmas feast or a quick country breakfast, there is one quiet, unmovable star of the show. This is the humble loaf of freshly baked Greek bread, called psomi in Greek, without which no meal is complete.

From Michelin-starred restaurants to yiayia’s (grandma’s) kitchen table, bread is ever-present. It’s considered a must, not an optional extra.
